The purpose and goal of this site is to educate the Multiple Sclerosis Community how to exercise safely, correctly, and effectively in order to manage your MS symptoms, teach your brain new ways to move around your damaged nerves, and to slow the progression of MS or rebuild after MS progression has been stopped.
YOU can learn how to exercise in a way that re-trains your brain to use alternative neurological pathways to work around the MS damage in your body. You CAN restore your strength, balance, coordination, and mobility. You CAN be free.

This is how you “get cardio in” whilst seated in a char, rollator, or scooter. You will combine 3 multi-planar exercises and perform each for 20 seconds on and 20 seconds of rest for multiple rounds - this is called HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING or H.I.I.T.
The benefit of HIIT training is that short, quick, intense bouts of movement raises heart rate and metabolic rate in a way that elicits a physiologic response without taxing your brain and body.
In this drill you will be doing these HIIT reps using arm motions A...

You are awesome physiotherapist
It’s very good one. Thank you.
So basically like you're mixing a bowl of chocolate pudding 😂👍
Thank you, Coach T! This is very helpful. I look forward to including this as part of my day to feel and be stronger. 💪🏾😊
How can I get in touch with you
@@melissaochoa6505 email us at: support@themsgym.com
Do we stand on the affected leg or both legs?😊
@@marijanazekovic226 start standing on stronger leg to get movement t down and then attempt with affected leg.
@@TheMSGym thank you 😊
I love all the exercises you recommend in regards to hip mobility, and ways to assist our balance in those areas.
@@kaylainthesky47 awesome!!!
This is one of my biggest problems 👍 I got to practice this thx 🙏
@@vahid-T you bet!
Had ms 25 years not mobile only assistance but became writer 8 yrs ago now a nutritionist, not given up been following u 6 yrs now! Keep up your inspiration 👍🏽
I heard about you from Christina and Jamie (Messy podcast). I have multiple medical conditions that affect balance and mobility that may or may not overlap including undiagnosed neurological condition. Do you have any exercises or will the MS exercises also help compensate for vestibular nerve damage?
thank u for this content but I m 13 year MSer and I have hand drop and foot drop and it s nearly impossible to this for my shoulder pain what s ur suggestion for a person wth this sort of problems?
Please do sitting videos from a wheel chair. We need to see how things can be done in a wheelchair. Thank you
Trevor, you are really the best at what you do!! Thank you for being alive!!!! I really mean that!!! You bring us such incredible important info with every video 🙏I know you also have your own medical and health concerns and it is not always easy to be fired up and ready to go… but, dude… you make a difference for me EVERYDAY!!! Everyday!! I am also a very upbeat positive human, but we all have those moments when a pit of negativity can quietly pop in….. Thank you 🧡 for making such a difference…. I can’t imagine having MS and not knowing about the MS Gym!! Here is to Make a difference Monday!!( I just made that up!!)
I have limited mobility with my right arm and shoulder so can’t do the exercises using it. Is it ok to just use one arm while doing these?
Why do the muscles get more stiff while doing this exercise. Why is that?
i was a runner before i was diagnosed with MS in 2016. please tell me about the exercises i can do to start running again.
Oh my I do this because it just made sense to me. Yet i have never had any PT suggest this. Thank you for more information.
This is just what I needed! 😁
That's great, I'll definitely be trying these, thanks 👍
Love all the info given with the stretches Just found this! So excited to put this to good use!
ooo didn't think to do for my arms! I tried this the other day with my legs and... oh my... definitely need to do this more often! couldn't find the muscles at all lol thank you <3
I’ve been doing your exercises and several others on a daily basis. I’m probably exercising 1.5 - 2 hours a day, plus I do 20 min walks now every day. This is as of approx 4 weeks ago, and today is a third day I’m walking without any back pain. There is still a slight foot drop (my right leg) and lack of balance, but I’m much better now compared to how I was a month ago. I mean, I couldn’t even stand on my feet in the mornings, and I was getting very depressed as a result. Now I’m feeling much more positive. I’m definitely going to stick with your exercises for the next two months, i want to see how much my legs and back will improve!😊
Your videos come at the right time when I'm inquiring about a concern... thank you 💖
I can only move my big toe on both feet.
When I do that and turn my head to the right, I feel like vomiting… should I be worried??😳
I love this, and this was a great tutorial.
❤
I have only started this so very unsure if this will help…😊
You describe exactly what I feel 24/7. Thank you for this video. It feels good to work and feel those muscles.
What about drop foot
There is a seperate set for foot drop
I don’t find any of your exercises challenging but this one 😂 I got to really tackle this one. Thanks for the challenge! ❤
Feels better immediately ❤ thanks
😎👍
This exercise is helping me immensely
Hey if I could lift my leg that high I had no problem but slowly I am going to try 🤷🏻♂️
not bad
I did a few of these, and my shoulder actually feels better.Thank you
Thanks for these exercises. Is there a way to monitor progress or is it very much to feel? Any suggestions on how frequently to do this?
So my optic neuritis might also be causing my balance issues?
I hate having MS…🤦🏾♂️
What happens if you shut your eyes and try to stand for a while, but making sure that you covered from all sides if you fall ?
Thanks
Love this, thanx❤
Thank you , with MS and vestibular disease, this will help me as the other videos I have tried do not work well with me , thank you
Where is your gym located?
Fantastic. Thank you ❤😊
Are you supposed to be standing while doing these? You mentioned doing while sitting in car
I've been doing similar exercises with a physical therapist, and she said that you can do it either standing or sitting - whatever is most safe and comfortable for you starting out. Eventually standing may be better, but just getting in the reps is what matters.
How many reps and how often?
I think you are hilarious! You remind me of my son- you awesome guys have very similar attitudes, fun voices and personalities! Keep it coming coach!! I recently did take my second Superman fall- busted my 2 front teeth twice… so all this stuff is soo important. I find myself totally agreeing with you as you explain how and why we walk ridgidly ( if that is actually a word) anywho… this last time i fell… I sprained my right wrist. It is some better- it’s probably been a month since I fell… I am also a member- can you suggest things I can do to help my wrist? It is feeling tight right right on the underneath side of wrist… I keep moving it to hopefully help with strength and mobility… Thank you!
